Looking for ways to save money on your car insurance premium?
Driving a vehicle that is not on the annual list of “most likely to be stolen” can mean savings for you! Each year the Highway Safety’s Highway Loss Data Institute (HLDI) releases a list of the most popular stolen vehicles as well as a ranking of states for the number of cars reported stolen. Are you driving one?

- Ford F-350 4WD

Car insurance premiums reflect the likelihood of a vehicle being stolen and choosing a car or truck that IS NOT on this list will save you a few dollars each month.
Keep in mind that any vehicle can be subject to theft due to carelessness and that statistics show that only about half of stolen vehicles are recovered. Here are a few tips for reducing your chances of having your car stolen:
- Always lock your vehicle- even in your own driveway!
- Do not leave valuables in plain view
- Park in well lit areas whenever possible, or a secured parking garage or lot.
